Anti-Inflammatory Diets- Weekly Q&A with Dr. John Rothwell 1-14-2021
Today we are talking about anti-inflammatory diets. An important thing to remember about anti-inflammatory diets is this:
What makes the anti-inflammatory diets so challenging is that what’s inflammatory to me may not be inflammatory to you or someone else. It is very individualized.
The things you can do with the help of your healthcare provider is first and foremost, figure out what your food trigger is. Then you can start with elimination of common foods that people have sensitivities with like grains, eggs, sugar, processed foods, corn, soy, other legumes, dairy products and artificial sweeteners.
Talk with your healthcare provider about which you should start with, and then go from there. It is also a good idea to keep a journal and write down what you eat and how you feel throughout the day. You do not necessarily need to count calories/and measurements, but saying 2 chicken sandwiches from Chick-fil-A or a bunch of chips could be helpful to note in the journal.
If you have any questions about this topic or any other healthcare questions please don’t hesitate to ask in the comments or send us a private message.
